Determined to find Areski, now on the run, Lino decides to keep watch day and night outside his old house, where the corrupt cop's wife and son still live. Julia, who took over as head of the brigade after Charas' death, convinces Lino to join her unit to catch Areski.
Almost a year later, Marco, Areski's accomplice, negotiates his release from prison in exchange for information to help dismantle the drug-trafficking network he was working for. When Lino tracks him down, he goes berserk when he learns that his enemy is about to get out, regardless of his information.
Lino decides to kidnap Marco and hand him over to the Spanish authorities, who are determined to imprison all those involved in drug trafficking for good. Julia, unable to tolerate the fact that Lino is once again behaving like an outlaw, sets off in pursuit, determined to reason with him and stop him before he commits the unforgivable.
