Gwendolyn is a London high school student like any other—until she suddenly discovers a gift that allows her to travel through time for brief moments. Her cousin Charlotte was supposed to inherit this ability, passed down from mother to daughter through a gene, but it is Gwendolyn who unexpectedly develops the power.

Unlike Charlotte, however, she has never been prepared for this and quickly feels lost when she must team up with Gideon de Villiers, one of the 11 other time travelers, to carry out missions. Soon, she will also have to meet the Count of Saint-Germain, the founder and leader of the secret society of time travelers.
