Mia van der Linden, a maverick professor, pushes a small and select group of students to solve cold cases, recklessly playing them off against each other in the process. When her “special class” is threatened with closure, Mia entrusts them with a very special cold case: the murder of Kevin, an 11-year-old boy found mutilated after an altercation with the son of his soccer coach in the 1990s.
