Amélie Florot, a young architect for the "Batîments de France", is found dead in the Sainte-Agathe fountain, a former pilgrimage site for the well-known Morvandelle nurses. Led by Maud Perrin, a local gendarme, and Valentin Demarcy, policeman from the Criminal Division of Dijon, the investigation takes another turn when they discover that the victim's own grandmother died at the same place, eighty years before... Just a coincidence or, like some old locals say, the result of a mysterious curse?... The case will not be easy and will be the opportunity for our two officers, Demarcy, who definitely cannot get used to local habits and customs, and Maud, a local farmer's daughter in love with her cows and capable of making taciturn Morvan people talk, to discover each other.
