Mado has to retire as the head of a hospital.But she is reassured,convinced that her son-in-law, who is succeeding her,will carr y on their "work",the introduction of a new procedure for treating a particularly sever type of cancer. Very quickly,despite the promises made to a former patient who has just had a relapse and is in need of the procedure,Mado understands that her son-in- law has abandoned the procedure,that he is lining up behind the ?nancial demands of the hospital,that he is listening to reason and not to his heart. In the face of such a lack of understanding,Mado is going to do her utmost to ?ght against what she calls the dark forces and eventually discovers a truth beyond her wildest imagination which concerns her ?rst and foremost but which had been hidden from her in order to protect her...Once again Mado is going to reveal all her courage and commitment.
