LE PARFUM D'IRAK

<p><em>Flavors of Iraq </em>is an animated documentary based on the story of Feurat Alani, a Franco-Iraqi journalist. Growing up in Paris, Feurat discovers his parents' country under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein, the American occupation, and the control of the Islamic State between 1989 and 2017. The film follows Feurat's evolution from childhood to adulthood and his growing awareness of the social and political realities of Iraq.</p>

La Fatiha est la première sourate du Coran. Dans la tradition musulmane, c'est également le nom donné à la cérémonie d'hommage à une personne décédée. Aujourd'hui est la Fatiha d'Amir, le père de Feurat Alani, journaliste français et irakien. L'occasion pour ceux qui lui étaient proches de revenir sur l'histoire d'Amir, et pour Feurat de revenir sur sa propre histoire et celle de l'Irak.
