September 25, 2019: China inaugurates the Daxing International Airport. This huge copper-roofed star covers an area of 700,000 m2, the equivalent of 98 soccer fields. The new building - inspired by a soap bubble and based on advanced mathematical models that revolutionized 20th century architecture - claims to be the largest airport terminal in the world. Cost of the operation: 15 billion euros! Using exclusive images, the film traces the construction of the airport over 5 years: from the virgin land to its inauguration. We follow the 100,000 men and women who worked every day to build the site and discover the unsuspected jobs necessary to the good functioning and the safety of an airport.
