New episodes: To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show, TF1 (France’s #1 commercial channel) aired 2 new episodes in February 2022. The new episodes – mixing new surprises and archive footage of iconic ones - averaged 29% share on the main commercial target and 28% share on the 15-35 demo target, winning their slot on all targets every episode.
Each episode sees multiple fans meet their favourite celebrity when they expect it the least: at their wedding, at their birthday party or simply waiting for them in their home, a surprise always filled with emotion, tears and happiness.
Each encounter begins with a portrait of the fan, drawn up from testimonies of those close to them, followed by segments on the preparations for the surprise encounter, and then finally the meeting itself. The celebrity - often a singer - will perform the fan's favourite song. Finally, days later, the celebrity, the fan, and his or her close accomplices, all meet again with the host, in a famous Music Hall venue, to recall the unique surprise.
