After accidentally committing murder, two boys from African shantytown, trying to find themselves, seek refuge in the Bronx ghetto. They join gangs. Violence, partying and brotherhood make up their lives. Toussaint, the older boy, seeks the production of the elder Tyson. He adapts to the laws of this world founded on honor and respect for the elders, while seeking a way out through the love of Mariam, a young stallholder at the fish market. His Friend Nixon feels abandoned and their relationship suffers. He rebels against the "Miami right" that allows an elder to take a share of the Sonny's booty. Convinced that he has inherited his father's special powers, he wants to move ahead faster than the rest. With his friends Tupac Amaru and Simpliste, he organizes a pathetic mugging that forces Toussaint to betray his "blood brothers" to get him out of jail. Reconciled, the two friends have to flee to the Barbès ghetto run by the "bloodthirsty" Tarek Aziz. They look for a way to "become someone tomorrow".
