Zita is 14 and lives alone with her mother Joana in a small house near Marseilles. One day, at the swimming pool, Maud, a woman aged 48, notices the birthmark that Zita has close to her left breast. Maud is disconcerted. Her young daughter, who disappeared when she was only 6 months old, had the same mark. Maud starts to follow Zita and tries to establish contact.
