Louise is starting out as an educator in a home for juvenile delinquents where everyone, including the psychiatrist, appears disillusioned. Stubborn and determined, Louise attempts to overcome the hostility of the girls who give her a hard time. She develops a close relationship with Stephanie, a hostile and silent newcomer who she feels carries a dark secret. In spite of the institution and psychiatrist's warnings, Louise gets carried away and oversteps the mark, provoking unexpected and uncontrollable reactions of the teenager.
